Today, we are going to learn all about YOU! You are unique and wonderful, and knowing about yourself is the first step to making great friends and having fun together. Let's explore what makes you, YOU!
Your name is how everyone knows you! It's a special word just for you. When you meet someone new, you can tell them your name. This helps you make new friends! For example, if your name is Leo, you can say, "Hi, my name is Leo!"
Do you know how old you are? We count our birthdays to know our age. When you tell friends your age, you might find someone who is the same age as you! This is fun to share.
Your family is the group of people who love and care for you. It could be your mommy, daddy, brothers, sisters, grandparents, or even pets! We all have different families, and that makes each one special.
Look at yourself in a mirror! What color is your hair? What color are your eyes? Are you tall or short? We all look different, and that's amazing! Everyone's body is unique and special.
Do you ever feel happy? Or sad? Or maybe a little bit silly? These are all feelings! It's good to know how you feel and to tell someone. When you share your feelings, others can understand you better and help you.
What is your favorite color? Your favorite animal? Your favorite toy? Thinking about your favorites helps you understand what you like. When you tell your friends your favorites, you might find out you like the same things!
Do you love to draw, sing, run, or build with blocks? These are things you love to do! Sharing your favorite activities can help you find playmates and make plans to play together.
All these things about you – your name, your age, your family, your looks, your feelings, and your favorites – make you wonderfully special! Just like you are special, every person in our class is special too. We celebrate what makes each of us unique!
Imagine you are at the playground and want to play with new friends. Knowing "all about me" helps you! You can say, "Hi, my name is Lily, and I love to swing! Can I play with you?" This helps you connect and make new friends easily.
Draw a picture of yourself! Include your hair color, eye color, and something you love to do. Show it to your family and tell them one thing that makes you feel happy!
